It all started with a personal milestone. When Shanti’s partner proposed, she knew it was more than just their engagement—it was the spark that inspired SAMA.

A New York City native, Shanti harnessed her expertise as a luxury goods professional and professor of business fashion to launch her own bridal jewelry brand. After earning her diamond certification from GIA, she founded SAMA in 2023.

Along Shanti’s engagement journey, she hoped to purchase from a brand that supported creating a better tomorrow for underrepresented groups. During this period, the lack of affordable jewelry options aligning with her values sparked the idea for SAMA.
